Completing a Level means every card in your Step has reached the Learnt state (repetition ≥ 2). That's solid revision, but sometimes, solid isn't enough.
That's why we built Advanced Mode.
After finishing a Level, Advanced Mode unlocks a new loop. Instead of stopping at Learnt, you can keep going through every card in order:
Skilled
repetition ≥ 3
Mastered
repetition ≥ 4
Memorised
repetition ≥ 5
Hitting Memorised means you've taken a Step to the highest retention state. You've essentially finished the Level, every card locked in long-term. Most platforms stop at "good enough." We don't.
Advanced Mode runs a clean 1-N sequence loop layered on top of the SM-2+ algorithm. You'll still see reviews pop up naturally, but the focus is on driving every card forward, one by one, until nothing slips.
With standard Levels, the goal is competence.
With Advanced Mode, the goal is mastery.
It's the clear advantage for Plus and Pro users: a structured path to take your learning further than just "I've seen this before."
Advanced Mode is just getting started. Future updates will add more tools and recognition features to make the journey to Memorised even sharper.
